color hearing

2013

This work is my first step to research on finding relationships between color and sound that will eventually work as a communication tool. This project is still under development under supervision of Shawn Greenlee, a professor at Rhode Island School of Design.

Based on Neil Harbisson’s theory of sonochromatic music scale, I made a prototype for a system that effectively converts color into sound. With this conception, additive color can be transmitted to a specific sound. The result is a logical translation of color into sound.
